Step 5: Placement Testing

How do I take my Placement Tests?

Answer

Placement Testing is free and offered by appointment Monday-Friday in the Counseling office. To set up your appointment, you can call the Counseling office at 928-428-8253.

All degree-seeking students must take the placement test prior to enrolling. ACT or SAT scores may be used in lieu of placement testing IF minimum scores are met. These assessments allow the Counselors to guide the student in selecting appropriate level courses.

To significantly improve your placement test scores, you can enroll in one of these one-credit, 10-day, power courses designed to develop your math, reading, and writing skills. Sign up for Summer Bridge: CSL122, section #6055 (math); #6026 (reading); or #6082 (writing).

There are three ways to register:

  • Online: You can register through your Gila Hank account.
  • By phone: You can call the Counseling office at 928-428-8270.
  • By e-mail: You can email James Pryor at james.pryor@eac.edu
